Sean McGurk has further endeared himself to Leeds United supporters by taking in the Whites’ clash with Aston Villa from the away end at Villa Park on Wednesday night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side played their part in an outstanding game in the Premier League. Certainly, it is hard to argue with those who feel that the first-half was the best 45 minute period of football in the league this season.

Daniel James scored the opener with a smart finish into the bottom corner. But Villa struck back in superb fashion, scoring three times in 14 minutes. It appeared that Steven Gerrard’s men had put the game to bed before the interval.
However, anyone who dared to write Leeds off were made to look foolish. James bravely got one back before the break, somehow beating Tyrone Mings in the air from a couple of yards out.

And Diego Llorente unleashed his inner-Pontus Jansson after the break. Just over three years ago, it was the Swede equalising from a corner in front of the North Stand as Leeds went on to score three.
This time, it was Llorente equalising in similar circumstances. He smashed the ball home after a block from Mings on the edge of the six-yard box.

Unsurprisingly, the goal sent the away end into a frenzy. And, as it turns out, one of those who were there celebrating the goal was McGurk.
The young midfielder has impressed supporters since arriving at Elland Road in the summer. And he won a lot of plaudits on social media after giving a young fan a pair of his boots after an under-23 game this week.
