‘McGinn next’: Aston Villa fans react as Tyrone Mings signs new contract until 2024

Aston Villa fans are celebrating tonight not only because of their 1-0 win over Sheffield United but because, like Jack Grealish, defender Tyrone Mings has penned a new deal.

The club confirmed earlier this afternoon that Mings has put pen to paper on a deal until 2024, a move which will cement the England man at the heart of Villa’s back for for the foreseeable future.

Mings has enjoyed a meteoric rise at Villa Park since arriving from Bournemouth. His initial loan deal was made permanent and since then, he has enjoyed international honours and become a defensive stalwart for the Villans.

The news, then, has gone down superbly with the Villa faithful on Twitter, with a number of their fans taking time out to give their thoughts about the deal.

Like Grealish’s new deal last week, it would seem Villa fans are absolutely delighted with the new contract for Tyrone Mings.
