Ally McCoist criticised Alisson for two really poor kicks in the first seven minutes during Liverpool’s Premier League clash with West Ham on Wednesday – in comments on Amazon Prime (19/10; 19:39).
The Reds were looking to build on their fantastic result at the weekend. Of course, Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield.

West Ham however, showed no fear in the early stages of the clash at Anfield. And Liverpool did not always help themselves – with Alisson landing them into a bit of bother.
The Brazilian gave possession away cheaply on a couple of occasions, with one kick going flat across the ground straight to Declan Rice 35 yards from goal. Alisson had initially been under little pressure when he received the ball from Virgil van Dijk.

His first touch was not the best. And that allowed Jarrod Bowen to close off the channel back to van Dijk.
Fortunately for Liverpool, West Ham were unable to capitalise on that occasion. And when the ball went out for a goal kick, McCoist was critical of the Reds goalkeeper.
“That’s twice, really poor balls. Right in the middle of his goal as well. One place you would not want to lose it,” he told Amazon Prime.
Obviously, it would not have changed too much in the game. However, it may have given West Ham a little lift as they looked to make a fast start.
Alisson’s distribution is world-class, as he proved on Sunday with the assist for Mohamed Salah. But seeing him start with a couple of nervy kicks would have only given West Ham more confidence on a night where they would have known that they would need to be perfect.
However, Alisson had the last laugh at the end of the half. He brilliantly saved Bowen’s penalty right before the break after Joe Gomez had committed a clumsy foul.
