Mbaye Diagne has suggested on Instagram that he could be on his way to Championship side Nottingham Forest with a cryptic post, amid reports that Sabri Lamouchi’s side were interested in the striker.
Diagne, 28, has been strongly linked with a move to England over the last couple of years after netting a stunning 32 goals in 36 games for Kasimpasa. However, he moved to Galatasaray in January 2019 and continues his strike rate – with 11 in 20.
But after just a few months, Diagne was shipped out on a loan-to-buy deal to Champions League side Club Brugge where he has since played just nine times this season – scoring four goals. The Senegal international looks as though he is on the move again.
Turkish site Fotospor claim the striker is a target for Forest this summer, with Gala willing to do business if they receive a figure of around £5million. Now, it appears Forest could bring the African to England – and his latest Instagram suggests a move is on.
The post includes a picture of Diagne with the Nottingham Forest badge, with the caption: “Fate is written and the truth remains. Thank you so much my God, I accept everything you do for me. (A lion never dies).”

Forest fans reacted to Diagne’s strange post, with many intrigued by the mysterious upload. No confirmation has been made by either side, and it remains to be seen if Diagne intended on suggesting a move to Forest was in the works.
