'Maybe we're signing someone': Some Liverpool fans notice something as club release footage

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing something interesting in the background of a video released by the club.

What’s the story?

Well, Liverpool released footage of Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and others catching a glimpse of the new away kit for the first time.

Nike have created a smart, beige strip for Jürgen Klopp’s men to wear throughout the 2021/22 season, and we must say it’s a lovely shirt.

However, eagle-eyed Liverpool fans noticed an intriguing feature in the club’s photoshoot set-up.

As you can see, a backdrop with Luis Suarez’s name on it can be seen behind Robertson.

Look even closer, and you’ll be able to see Sir Kenny Dalglish’s name on the bottom left of the backdrop as well.

Now, what on earth could this mean?

Are Liverpool getting a new No.7?

In our view, we’re sceptical about this being a new signing.

However, we do think a number change could be a possibility.

Currently, James Milner owns the No.7 shirt, and he’s still under contract at Anfield.

It’s rare that a player gives his shirt number away.

However, some Liverpool fans were chatting recently after Harvey Elliott changed his Instagram name from harveyelliott67 to harveyelliott07.

Now, that probably means nothing, but the timing is definitely strange.

In our view, it would be a massive decision to hand such an iconic shirt number to an 18-year-old.

Having said that, stranger things have happened.
