‘Maybe’… Journalist suggests £60m Tottenham player could end up at Real Madrid this summer

Richarlison has hit real form for Tottenham in recent weeks.

The Brazilian has scored six goals in his last six league games and he’s finally starting to look like a £60m player at Spurs.

However, despite his good form, links with a move away from Tottenham continue to persist.

The striker has been linked with a move to the Saudi League for a little while now, and speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, George Sessions has now been talking up the idea of the attacker going to Real Madrid.

Indeed, Sessions says that Richarlison to Real Madrid is a transfer that has always been seen as a slight possibility, and he says that if the striker keeps up his form, this could come into the picture at some point this summer.

Richarlison to Madrid potentially possible

Sessions spoke about the striker.

“Unless someone from the Saudi league comes in with a massive bid, or from a romantic side, Real Madrid come in. If Richarlison has a great end to the season and Real Madrid want another Brazilian number nine, that’s always been one that you could maybe see happening,” Sessions said.

Would make sense

As strange as it sounds after Richarlison’s poor run of form over the past 18 months, this is a move that would make sense.

As we all know, Real Madrid love their Brazilian attackers, and with Carlo Ancelotti at the helm, Richarlison could well emerge as a target.

Let’s not forget, Richarlison was one of Ancelotti’s favourites during his time at Everton, and Madrid do need a new striker as Joselu is currently the man often tasked with leading their line.

Of course, the impending availability of Kylian Mbappe may complicate things slightly, but if Mbappe does end up elsewhere, don’t be shocked if Richarlison does end up on Los Blancos’ radar.
