Liverpool are reportedly interested in German forward Max Kruse. As reported by Sport1 in Germany the 31-year-old is reportedly on the radar of Jurgen Klopp. He is available on a free transfer after his contract with Werder Bremen expires this summer.
Kruse had a strong season at Bremen. He scored 12 goals and assisted 14 in 36 games for the club. Despite those figures, Liverpool fans are probably not overwhelmed at the interest.
However, he has all the attributes to become a Liverpool cult hero.

He made headlines back in 2016. A talented poker player the Daily Mail reported that he was fined by former club Wolfsburg after losing winnings in the back of a taxi and Sport Bild also reported on his ‘unhealthy addiction’ to Nutella – which was apparently impacting on his game.
Kruse is a larger than life character who, despite his past indiscretions, has actually become a huge fan favourite at Bremen. Indeed, throughout this season, he has been captain at the club.
Undoubtedly, he is something of a mischievous and charismatic German. Sound familiar? No wonder Jurgen Klopp is keen.
As a potential replacement for the out-of-contract Daniel Sturridge, he could be a cost-effective addition.
