Juventus are reportedly open to the idea of signing Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer. A report from Le10 Sport this week suggested that the Italian side have been in contact with Arsenal and representatives of the Frenchman to gauge the interest in a potential deal.

Which should come as no surprise, considering how fondly the Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri regards the Arsenal striker.

Sarri, a former Chelsea boss, coached his Blues to a Europa League final win against Arsenal last season.

In the pre-match for the game, he spoke to the press, as relayed by UEFA.com, about both Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

“Usually against Arsenal, it’s an open match. They have two very dangerous strikers: Lacazette and Aubameyang. They are very dangerous as a team in the offensive phase. They are aggressive and able to press well in the opposition half, so it’s not easy to play against them.”

Lacazette also scored against Sarr’s Chelsea in a 2-0 win last January, so the 29-year-old’s abilities as a striker are not lost on the Italian.

However, Sarri and Juventus surely face an uphill battle convincing Arsenal to sell one of their more valuable players, even if it would raise much-needed funds for their own recruitment strategies.

But one thing that would appear clear, is that Sarri would like to have the Arsenal player join his potent attacking threat which already includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Paolo Dybala.
