Tottenham’s under-23s were in action yesterday, defeating Wolfsburg in Premier League International Cup action. Goals from Jack Roles and Kazaiah Sterling proved enough for victory.
One player who featured on the team-sheet might have had some fans scratching their heads though.
Pochettino.
As good as Mauricio Pochettino probably still is, the 46-year-old is double the age group.
Of course, it was his son, Maurizio.

The 17-year-old winger was making his debut for the under-23s, coming on at right-wing, far from the centre-back position his old man made his own.
It was an important step for the youngster, as he looks to progress his career at Tottenham.
Of course, manager’s sons are not always ready to make the step up. Andrea Mancini was at Manchester City with his father Roberto. Jose Mourinho had a son at Chelsea who also went on to play at Fulham. He is now hoping to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a coach.
It would, of course, be a dream come true for Mauricio to one day hand Maurizio his Tottenham debut.
But it is a long way until that could happen and no doubt the Spurs boss will not be making such a decision unless he has proved himself ready.
