Jose Mourinho enjoyed three points in his first game in charge as manager of Tottenham with a 3-2 win over London rivals West Ham United – and Mauricio Pochettino’s son has broken his silence on social media since his father’s sacking.
Goals from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane saw Spurs take a 3-0 lead at the London Stadium. West Ham did reply through Michail Antonio and Angelo Ogbonna, the latter coming in the 96th minute.
It was Spurs’ fourth league win of the season, after a dismal start under Pochettino which had left the north Londoners in 14th place – and only three wins from 12 games. Despite that, the dismissal of Pochettino has hurt plenty of Spurs fans.

His son, Maurizio, plays for Tottenham’s under-18 and under-23 sides. The 18-year-old was signed by his father for Tottenham from Southampton, a year after the Argentine manager had made the same move in 2015.
An attacking midfielder that can also play out wide, Pochettino junior was born in Barcelona during his father’s spell at Espanyol as a player. He is a key member of the club’s reserve side, making five appearances this season for the Under-23’s.
He had not posted on social media following the departure of his father, but instead chose to do so just hours after Mourinho had earned his first win. He posted a picture of himself in Spurs’ action, with the caption: “Onwards and upwards”.
