Toward the end of the January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur allowed young striker Kazaiah Sterling leave the club. The attacker joined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.
The Black Cats needed attacking reinforcements and with Vincent Janssen’s potential exit falling through, Tottenham had little reason to hang on to the player.

It did not take Sterling long to impress his new manager. Sunderland boss Jack Ross has praised the player’s commitment, as reported by the Shields Gazette, after pushing to play on Saturday, despite not knowing many of the player’s names.
“To Kaz’s credit he travelled up late on Thursday night and arrived early hours Friday.
“He wanted to be with us first thing Friday and he only met the players on Friday.
“I don’t even know if he knows everyone’s names in the team! He is a nice young man.”

Sterling came on for the final half hour as Sunderland defeated AFC Wimbledon at the weekend. The 20-year-old striker will now be hoping to prove himself worthy of a future with Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
The Argentine will no doubt be ecstatic to hear the words of Ross. It is great to hear that the Tottenham youngster is applying himself so well early on at the Stadium of Light.
The talented attacker is contracted at Spurs until 2021 and some impressive loan spells could help him with his aim toward being a Tottenham first-teamer.
Judging by his application so far, effort is one thing which will not be in short supply.
