Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has posted just his second Twitter message since June, prompting some Gunners fans to respond.
The 21-year-old was frozen out at the Emirates Stadium in wake of an incident with Brighton striker Neal Maupay towards the end of their Premier League clash on 20 June.

Since then, speculation about Guendouzi’s future has increased, with recent reports – such as in The Telegraph – claiming that Mikel Arteta is open to selling the player.
Currently on France Under-21 duty, Guendouzi captained the team and played the full 90 minutes in Friday night’s 2-0 win over Georgia’s Under-21s in European U21 championship qualifying.
After the game, he took to Twitter with a message praising the team and looking ahead to the next fixture, against Azerbaijan’s U21s:
Guendouzi has now tweeted twice this month, as well as a retweet – all of those related to international duty – but prior to these, he had not posted anything since June.
Some Arsenal fans picked up on this:
Others, meanwhile, urged him to knuckle down and work hard to regain his first-team place:
As seen above, the Arsenal fanbase is very much split on Guendouzi, and while the talent is there, it remains to be seen whether Arteta will sell him – and given the current climate, the Gunners will likely need to sell before they buy – or gives him another chance.
