Matt Jarvis praised Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Oskar Buur after his performance in a win over Besiktas on Thursday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side produced a convincing 4-0 win at Molineux against the Turkish outfit in the final group stage match of the Europa League.
They finished as runners-up in their group and will be unseeded for the knockout round draw next Monday.
Substitute Diogo Jota starred with an 11-minute hat-trick in the second-half to lift Wolves, while Leander Dendoncker also fired in a header from a corner.
Ex-Wolves winger Jarvis picked out Buur for his individual display, as he came into the side and managed to catch the eye at right wing-back.
The 21-year-old was making his sole first-team appearance of the season and it was his first senior action since April 2018.
“I think the second-half he looked much more confident. That does your confidence the world of good coming in and getting an assist,” Jarvis told BT Sport’s ESPN channel (10:05pm, 12 December).
“Even after that he’s still bursting forward, he’s still making crosses into the box and he deserves a lot of credit.”

TBR’s View:
Buur showed no signs of nerves against Besiktas, as he looked to join in with attacks well and defensively looked the part too.
The Danish full-back assisted Jota for his hat-trick and it showed great determination to win possession back before firing a cross to the man of the match.
He’s a regular in the Under-23s side, but stepped up to the first-team extremely comfortably on Thursday night and will hope that more senior chances lie just around corner for him.
