Everton are weighing up battling Bayern Munich for Manchester City starlet Rabbi Matondo, according to the Sun.
They report that the Welsh international winger has just 18 months left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, which has led Bayern to prepare a £10m bid for his services.
It will not be easy to prize Matondo away from the champions as Pep Guardiola is apparently a big fan, but City have got into something of a habit of losing their top talents.
Jadon Sancho departed for Borussia Dortmund and has flourished, while Brahim Diaz left for Real Madrid earlier on in the transfer window.

City have assembled some of the finest young talent in world football, but the pathway to the first team appears blocked due to the quality of the players in Guardiola’s squad.
That should give Everton ample encouragement that a deal can be done, especially whole Matondo’s contract situation remains unresolved.
The Toffees are currently toiling with Theo Walcott out wide – a player who has already maxed out his potential – and the injection of fresh blood out wide would make a real difference to Marco Silva’s attacking options.
Buying Matondo would be a risk given that he hasn’t played a senior game for City yet, but that was the situation Sancho found himself in and he has absolutely shone in Germany this season – Matondo could emulate the Englishman at Goodison.
