Wolverhampton Wanderers target Matija Sarkic has confirmed his exit from Aston Villa on Twitter, with their Premier League rivals seemingly in the hunt for his signature.
The Montenegrin goalkeeper has taken to twitter to confirm his exit from Villa Park and thank everyone who has helped him during his five years at Bodymoor Heath.
The 23-year-old, who made his international debut for Montenegro back in 2019, joined the club from Anderlecht in 2015 and has gone on to have loan spells with Wigan Athletic, Stratford Town, Havant and Waterlooville, and Livingston.
However, he never made his first-team debut for Aston Villa, despite impressing at under-23 level and in his spell in Scotland.

But he might still get a chance of Premier League football in the Midlands.
Wolves have been linked with a move for the player in recent weeks. It was reported by The Sun on Sunday (12/07/20; pg 61) earlier this month that Wolves will be swooping for his services when he leaves Villa.
It would be a surprise move from Wolves, but goalkeeper turned manager Nuno Espirito Santo may have seen something others have not in the one-cap star.
Blackpool are also being linked with the player, as his brother, Oliver, has just joined from Burton Albion whilst Sunderland have previously been linked.
But if Wolves do indeed want Sarkic, then it seems they are now free to get a deal done.
