There are going to be a lot if big movers within the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

Indeed, top clubs may be tempted to do a lot of domestic shopping this summer as a number of budding stars are emerging in the Premier League.

Liverpool want Milos Kerkez, Marc Guehi could return to Chelsea, while Liam Delap is wanted by a number of top clubs.

Matheus Cunha is a target for Arsenal, while Manchester United also want Cunha too.

Cunha reportedly has a £62.5m release clause in his contract, but according to Steve Kay, speaking on KS1 TV, that release clause may not be what it seems.

Matheus Cunha release clause twist

Kay shared some interesting insight into what he’s been hearing about Cunha.

The journalist says he’s heard conflicting information from his sources on this one.

One source has told Kay that Cunha’s relase clause is indeed set at £62.5m, but another source has told him that this figure may not be accurate and there may not even be a release clause once the season is finished.

“I just wanted to add a little bit on Cunha, I’m not sure on this, I’ve tried to look into it today, and the one thing I did find out is that there seems to be a bit of doubt over this release clause,” Kay said.

“One person who I really trust told me today that it is £62.5m, but someone else I really trust said there is a bit of a thing going on whether there is going to be a release clause at this price once teams go into negotiations at the end of the season, so he may be available for a lot less.

“If they were relegated, the release clause would be different, vbut, at the end of the season, there may not be one, but we’ll see.”

Matheus Cunha stats this season

Whether Cunha is available for £62.5m or a lesser amount, the Brazilian could well be one of the bargains of the summer transfer window.

Indeed, Cunha has been incredible this term.

Cunha has earned huge praise all season long, and his stats show just how good he is.

14 goals in a struggling Wolves team is nothing to be sniffed at, particularly as Cunha hasn’t been the club’s starting number nine for most of the season.

The 25-year-old is one of the rising stars of the Premier League, and there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the South American.

Whether it’s Arsenal, Man United or another club, Cunha could well be one of the best signings of the summer.
