Mateusz Klich tweets Leeds star Tyler Roberts after Wales win

Mateusz Klich has taken to Twitter to congratulate Leeds United teammate Tyler Roberts after Wales secured the win that has booked their spot at Euro 2020 next summer.

Roberts’s side knew that they needed to beat Hungary in Cardiff to guarantee their place in the tournament. And it proved to be a fairly comfortable night for Ryan Giggs’s men as they won 2-0 thanks to two goals from Aaron Ramsey.

TBR View – Another sign of Leeds progress

It is arguably a sign of the progress that Leeds have made in the last 18 months that both Klich and Roberts look to have fantastic chances of being involved in a major tournament with their respective countries.

There have been times since Leeds’s return to the Championship where it has felt as if the entire squad – barring Stuart Dallas – has gone nowhere during the international breaks.

It would be no surprise to see both Klich and Roberts called up by the countries next summer. And with the play-offs still to be played, perhaps they may prove to not be the only Leeds players involved.
