Mateusz Klich has hailed Leeds United teammate Patrick Bamford for his individual start to the season, as well as stressing how important he is to the team due to his work-rate.
Bamford is currently joint-third in the race for the Premier League golden boot this season and has scored six goals in the opening six matches, something that very few were prediction before the campaign started.
The 27-year-old striker played an important role last season in Marcelo Bielsa’s side earning promotion from the Championship last year as title-winners, but many expected him to fall away this season due to his lack of pedigree in the top-flight.
But he’s scoring at a goal-a-game ratio right now in the league and netted a stunning hat-trick in the previous match away to Aston Villa.
Klich, who was a £1.5million signing for Leeds (Yorkshire Evening Post), has expressed his delight for Bamford and feels he’s so vital at Elland Road.
“I’m very happy for Pat. There are many people not rating him as a striker, but I do rate him and I know he can score goals. He does a lot of hard work for the team as well so very happy for him that he’s scored already six goals and I hope he’s going to score many more because we’re going to need that,” Klich told LUTV.

TBR’s View:
Bamford looks as good as he ever has right now and is playing with so much confidence, which is why upcoming opponents Leicester City will be wary of him going into Monday’s fixture.
The English striker will need to perform for much longer on the elite stage if he’s to break into the England set-up, but international boss Gareth Southgate has drafted in players such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Ings to recent squads to due to their form.
He’s one of so many individuals that have reached unimaginable heights under the guidance of manager Marcelo Bielsa and looks very much Premier League level.
