Mateusz Klich summed up his feelings about Leeds United’s centenary celebrations in just three words on Instagram.
The Whites got back to winning ways on the day that they celebrated their 100th birthday at Elland Road. The build-up to their clash with Birmingham City had been spent paying tribute to the club’s legends over the past century.

On Saturday however, it was the current squad’s turn to add to the history. And Marcelo Bielsa’s side ultimately did not disappoint.
In a hard-fought game against Pep Clotet’s men, Leeds came out on top and secured the three points. Fittingly, Kalvin Phillips was the man to score the decisive goal in the second-half.

The Whites would see the game out to move themselves back into the automatic-promotion spots in the Championship. And the win also allowed the club round off the celebrations on a high.
After the game, a number of the current squad took to social media to comment on the win and the occasion. But it may perhaps be Klich who summed up the feeling in the best way.
The Poland international has been one of the Whites’ most outstanding players in its 100th year. And he paid tribute to Leeds on Instagram.
Here is what Klich posted…
