Mateusz Klich has been praising Leeds United youngster Mateusz Bogusz in conversation with the Polish media this week.
The Leeds teenager has been making headlines in his homeland following his heroics for the Poland under-21 side. They defeated Serbia 1-0 this week, with Bogusz scoring the only goal and considering his tender 18-years of age plenty of hype has started to surround the little-known Leeds talent.
Sport.pl has run an exceptional piece, talking to former and current coaches of Bogusz. Poland under-20 boss, Jacek Magiera, who took Bogusz to a home Under-20 World Cup this summer, spoke highly of the independence and maturity that the teenager has shown at the higher age groups.
It is a trait that Klich also sees in Bogusz. Speaking to Sport.pl, the Leeds United fan favourite explained how, apart from the occasional help with the language, Bogusz is getting on at West Yorkshire life just fine by himself.
“Sometimes I help him a bit in language matters, but this is how he really does it, all alone.”
There is no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa sees plenty of potential in the youngster, who cost Leeds a reported (Przeglad Sportowy) £172,000 when they signed him from Ruch Chorzow in January.
The youngster was already in the Leeds matchday squad by the end of last season, went on the tour of Australia in the summer and recently made his debut in the EFL Cup clash with Stoke City.
It seems as though the 18-year-old also has a good head on his shoulders and can hopefully push on to become a star for Leeds in the years to come.
