Mateusz Klich jokes Leeds must be signing Robert Lewandowski after what they've just tweeted

Mateusz Klich has joked that Leeds must be signing his Poland international teammate Robert Lewandowski after a tweet from the club.

It seems like Leeds are going to give Klich a further send off before tonight’s FA Cup third round replay against Cardiff City.

Klich has joined MLS outfit DC United after struggling for gametime at Elland Road, and the club did acknowledge that after a 2-2 draw with West Ham earlier this month.

But it looks like more is going to be done and Klich saw the tweet and got his Poland colleague mentioned on Twitter.

Klich jokes about Lewandowski going to Leeds

As the hours tick down to kick off, Leeds posted a teaser of their pre-match plans on Twitter to make their fans aware.

Klich wasted little time pretending that Lewandowski was going to be paraded on the pitch as a new signing ahead of kick-off.

Lewandowski of course plays alongside former Leeds favourite Raphinha at Barcelona, having made a £42.5 million move in the summer.

Leeds had to come from behind in the initial tie and will hope that getting the job done at Elland Road tonight proves more straight-forward.

The winner of the game tonight will travel to face Accrington Stanley or non-league Boreham Wood in the fourth round.

That replay was meant to take place last night but the game was postponed until this coming Tuesday, and Leeds will hope to be watching that game with interest to see who they will face as opposed to having exited the competition at the earliest possible juncture having been the victim of a cup shock.
