Mateusz Klich has been crucial to Leeds four-game winning streak

Leeds United have won their last four consecutive league games to revive their automatic promotion bid in the Championship and they now have 10 fixtures remaining to get over the line.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have beaten Hull City, Middlesbrough, Reading and Bristol City in their previous games to rack up 12 points, all without conceding a single goal too.

The Whites are second in the Championship table five points above of third-placed Fulham and a return to the top-flight is firmly in their hands.

Leeds have managed to get over a rocky patch in their season and are now looking back to their best, where they are grinding out results and looking defensively resilient.

Mateusz Klich is one individual though that deserves a special mention for his role, as the Bielsa favourite now looks back to his very best.

The central midfielder has started every single league fixture this season and him rediscovering his form has played an important role in the four-game winning streak.

Klich is an ever-present in the XI that was perhaps beginning to run out of steam over the festive period and it’s no surprise considering the amount of physical demands placed on him.

The 29-year-old is a box-to-box midfielder that covers so much ground and makes a difference in both areas of the pitch.

He’s now scored once and supplied three assists in the last four games to highlight his attacking influence, while with his back to goal he doesn’t avoid his defensive abilities too.

His phenomenal work-rate all over the park epitomises the style of Bielsa and Leeds are a much better side when he’s making his driving runs forward from the number eight position.

Klich, who cost £1.5million (Yorkshire Evening Post) back in 2017, remains one of the best Elland Road bargains in recent times and is a driving force in the promotion bid.
