A couple of heavy defeats before the international break gave Leeds United a bit of a reality check, but overall it’s been a strong start to life back in the Premier League following promotion last season from the Championship.

Whites centre-forward Patrick Bamford has been the talisman grabbing the headlines, scoring seven goals in the eight league matches so far.

The 27-year-old left-footer has proven his doubters wrong to show he’s got the ability to score goals in the top-flight and he’s so pivotal at Elland Road to the system of manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Bamford’s success has been pivotal, but one man who’s been a real gem behind his start to the season has been teammate Mateuesz Klich.

Klich, who cost Leeds £1.5million (Yorkshire Evening Post), has been the main supply line to the centre-forward and is going under the radar.

The central midfielder has assisted three of Bamford’s goals so far and laid on seven key passes for him this season (Premier League website), plus he set up him for his goal against Crystal Palace that was ruled out controversially for offside by VAR.

Klich has to be one of the first names on the team sheet for Bielsa due to his tireless box-to-box energy that he brings and his high level of performances, but his creativity of late deserves a special mention and he’s been a key figure at the start of the season.

The 30-year-old Poland international has the ability to thread a final bass to the attackers and is definitely one of the teams best attacking threats when arriving late to the box.

Rodrigo is going to give Leeds some extra creativity when he returns to the side and there is certainly plenty of creative flair behind Bamford which will allow him to thrive.
