Leeds United’s Raphinha ended up on the losing team at Molineux last night, but the stats back up the fact that he was individually brilliant against Wolverhampton Wanderers and put on a masterclass.

It was a third defeat in four Premier League games for Leeds, who were beaten 1-0 after an own goal that goalkeeper Illan Meslier could do nothing about.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team may have lost out once again against Wolves this season on Friday night, but arguably the standout player on the pitch wore a Leeds shirt.

Raphinha, who only joined the Whites in the summer from French outfit Rennese, to the eye looked to be a level above most of his teammates with the way he played against Wolves.

The 24-year-old right-winger was constantly a threat from open play with his directness and speed, plus his delivery from set-pieces was inch-perfect at times.

Statisticians WhoScored gave a detailed breakdown of his game, which highlighted his impact in the defeat.

The Brazilian attacker had six key passes, which are passes that directly lead to a shot from a teammate.

It’s also worth noting he made four interceptions, which was the joint-most in his team alongside Pascal Struck.

Raphinha put in 13 crosses, had three dribbles and 78 touches of the ball, which was more than anyone else in the Leeds XI.

It’s no surprise to the the dazzling wide player top the stats in so many areas of the pitch against Wolves and right now he looks like one of the most in-form wingers across the entire Premier League.
