‘Masterstroke’…Piers Morgan claims Mikel Arteta has made a simply amazing change at Arsenal recently

Arsenal go into tonight’s clash with Sheffield United knowing they need to win to keep pace with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Both of the Gunners’ rivals picked up three points over the weekend to maintain their own pushes at the summit. Arsenal, then, know they must do the business at bottom of the table Sheffield United to keep in the mix.

Of course, on paper, it should be an easy enough task. Sheffield United have conceded five in the last three home games while Arsenal have scored five or more in their last two away games.

Goals have been coming from everyone, including summer signing Kai Havertz. And speaking about the recent goal glut on display, avid Arsenal fan and journalist Piers Morgan has said that it’s all down to something Mikel Arteta has done.

“I think what’s really interesting is that I have been watching the tactics and in the first half of the season Saka and Martinelli were getting neutralised because opponents were putting two players on them from the moment they got the ball. What did Arteta do? He brought in Havertz up front, with Trossard, and suddenly you have four of them swarming around up front, almost impossible to defend against, and suddenly we’re banging in goals for fun. That is a tactical masterstroke by Arteta. I would not have relied on Kai Havertz,” Morgan told TalkSPORT.

Arteta is always evolving this Arsenal team

This is actually a good point from Piers Morgan about the small tweak Arteta has made. The Gunners boss must have seen what was happening and has used his abilities to make the change to good effect.

With Gabriel Jesus now also back in the frame to play against the Blades tonight, there’s a chance they could run riot against the bottom club.

Arsenal are in simply rampant form right now and anything but a win by more than a few goals tonight will feel a disappointment.

Mikel Arteta will feel like this a chance to build a good goal difference and while he won’t get carried away, Arsenal and their boss will be super confident.
