Everton forward Alex Iwobi, who has shone this season along with the rest of the Goodison Park contingent, was in action for Nigeria on Friday night.
The Toffees ace got 85 minutes under his belt as the Super Eagles faced Algeria at the Jacques Lemans Arena in Austria.
Nigeria fell behind early on in the game, Ramy Bensebaini firing past goalkeeper Maduka Okoye in the sixth minute after an assist from Andy Delort.

It proved to be the only goal of the encounter as the three-time African champions, despite stepping up their game in the second half, were unable to find a breakthrough.
Iwobi had an ambitious effort go just wide in the first half, and he linked play impressively before half-time.
However, the 24-year-old wasn’t quite so effective after the interval, misplacing several straightforward passes, with Samson Tijani taking his place with five minutes to go.
Here is what some fans made of the £35million signing’s display on the night:
Nigeria are next in action against Tunisia on Tuesday, after which Iwobi will return to Everton, who face Premier League champions and Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park next Saturday.
