Celtic took a giant leap towards their ninth consecutive Scottish Premiership title on Wednesday evening with a 5-0 win over Hearts, while Rangers suffered defeat to Kilmarnock – and both Massimo Donati, and Trevor Sinclair have reacted on Twitter.
The Hoops came into Wednesday night’s home clash against bottom side Hearts after winning 16 of their last 17 league games, and they finally broke the deadlock through Olivier Ntcham – volleying home after Odsonne Edouard’s effort was saved.
Christopher Jullien, Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor and Jozo Simunovic also got their names on the score sheet, in an emphatic win. But for Rangers, it was far from emphatic, though they did take the lead through Scott Arfield.
But late goals from Stephen O’Donnell and Eamonn Brophy saw Rangers slip at Rugby Park. Kilmarnock assistant and ex-Celtic man Donati Tweeted passionately, while Celtic fan and ex-England star Sinclair predicted not just nine, but 10 in a row.

TBR’s view – Surely Celtic have wrapped up number nine?
With 10 points now separating the Old Firm sides – though Rangers do have a game in hand – surely Gerrard’s men have seen their post-winter break form ruin their chances of title glory fly out of the window.
Just 13 games to play means there are 39 points to play for, but for Celtic, who have just 36 to play for – they would need to drop more than 10 for Rangers to win the league, and that is with The Gers winning all of their remaining fixtures.
The one small hope is that Rangers do have to play Celtic twice more this season, once before the split and once after. Two wins for Rangers could restore some hope, but it is certainly Celtic’s to lose at the moment.
