Mason Holgate has given huge praise to Everton teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin for his ability.
Calvert-Lewin, 23, is the leading Toffees centre-forward that has grown into a talisman at Goodison Park since Carlo Ancelotti took charge as manager.
The English striker is enjoying a superb individual campaign, scoring 18 goals in 29 games across all competitions so far.
He’s a well-rounded attacker that is strong, quick and dominant in the air.
The England international has been in the last few Three Lions squads, so will be hoping he’s done enough to secure a spot in Gareth Southgate’s group for this summer’s European Championships.
24-year-old Everton defender Holgate has raved about Calvert-Lewin, pointing out that his speed is a real positive rom his game.
“I think the goals that he’s scoring speak for themselves. I think he’s someone that works hard and brings a physicality that helps us,” Holgate told Soccer AM.
“He’s so fast and strong, got a good leap. Now he’s incorporating goals so he’s getting the credit he deserves for the hard work that he’s always done for us.”

TRB’s View:
Calvert-Lewin is still trying to find top gear since his comeback from a hamstring problem, but he’s so instrumental for the Merseyside club.
He does a great job when asked to lead the line as a focal point.
Alternatively, he can also work effectively alongside Richarlison as part of a front two.
Calvert-Lewin was an exciting youngster when he first got his opportunity with Everton, and it was obvious from day one that he’s got an amazing work-rate. But his improvement with his finishing is now really elevating him to another level.
Holgate pointing out Calvert-Lewin’s speed is an interesting one too, as it’s often an asset of his that is perhaps overlooked by rival fans.
