'Don't you dare leave': Some fans desperate for 'unreal' 21-year-old to stay, Arsenal reportedly moving for him
Arsenal have been linked with Djed Spence in recent weeks, and it’s easy to see why.
Sky Sports reported last week that the Gunners were eyeing the on-loan Nottingham Forest full-back.
Arsenal are far from the only ones, however.
As well as the Gunners, Tottenham and Leeds are also reportedly in the race for the Middlesbrough loanee.
One Player Who Should REJECT Your Club
Mikel Arteta currently has the impressive Takehiro Tomiyasu at right-back.
However, Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers could both be set to leave the club, claimed Sky Sports.
The Evening Standard, meanwhile, has claimed that Boro are expected to demand £12million for Spence.
At present, the 21-year-old is on loan at the City Ground, where he’s become a fan favourite.
Spence announced himself to a nationwide audience earlier this month when he helped Forest knock Arsenal out of the FA Cup.
And on Tuesday, he further underlined his status as a star in the making in Tuesday’s 3-0 Championship win over Barnsley.
Spence played a key role in the third goal in a victory which helped Forest edge to within a point of the top six.
He picked up the ball in his own half, surged up the pitch and into the opposition box – beating three defenders along the way – before squaring for Brennan Johnson to sweep home.
Here’s what some Forest fans said in response to Spence’s post-match tweet:
Martinelli watches your highlights 🐐
