Gabriel Martinelli has shared with the official Arsenal website what his dad always tells him about playing for the Gunners.
Martinelli has reminded everyone just how good he can be this season, particularly in the last couple of months. Of course, the Brazilian made an absolutely outstanding start to life at the Emirates.

Injury appeared to halt his progress somewhat. And Mikel Arteta took his time to reintroduce him into the fold on a permanent basis. But Martinelli now looks to be determined to make up for lost time.
He has four goals and three assists in 21 appearances in all competitions this season. And he has now established himself as a key part of the side in recent months.

Martinelli looks determined to get back on track for Arsenal after those injuries. But it would appear that that mindset comes from his father, who has instructed him to give absolutely everything every time he gets the chance to play for the Gunners.
“It’s because of my dad,” he told the official Arsenal website.
“He always says that football players don’t play all the games good, but if you work hard every single game everyone is going to see that you want to win and fight for the fans and the team as well. I try to do it every single game.”
Martinelli one of several youngsters threatening to really elevate Arsenal once again
Arsenal have not been in the best form of late. They did not win a single game in January. And they were knocked out of both cup competitions.
They also failed to make any marquee signings during the January transfer window. So Arteta has plenty to prove in the months to come.
Having said that, Arsenal have a really exciting group of young, hungry players. Figures such as Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka were shining lights last season. And Martinelli has kicked on this year.
They have added several impressive players this season. And with that, they have the potential to achieve a lot in the years to come.
Certainly, Arsenal have several exciting years ahead should they keep the likes of Martinelli around.
