Arsenal drew with Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening in what may have been the cagiest game of the Gunners’ season so far.
Indeed, for a team who’ve made everything look so easy this year, Arsenal seemed a bit rattled on Tuesday night.
The north London side did seem to let the occasion get to them, with many players making silly mistakes or looking unsettled, and speaking to TNT Sports, Martin Keown has highlighted one player in particular who looked nervous on the night.

Arsenal player looked panicky
Speaking on TNT, Keown noted that David Raya looked panicky and rushed during the game, highlighting that the £30m man dived really early for Bayern Munich’s penalty.
“There’s no way they should be getting through there. Kiwior, you’re right, he looks a bit shaky on that left side. The keeper, I think he looked a bit panicky and a bit rushed tonight, and maybe he was again for the penalty, he dived so early for that,” Keown said.
David Raya didn’t seem himself
Keown is right, Raya looked really panicky against Bayern, and that’s so out of character.
Whether he’s been playing for Arsenal or Brentford, Raya has always been the personification of calmness between the sticks.
However, on Tuesday, he looked like he was a bit overawed by this occasion, and the last player you want to see feeling like this is your goalkeeper.
At this level of the game, one goalkeeping mistake can cost you everything, and while Raya didn’t make any huge blunders against Bayern, he did look vulnerable.
Raya needs a bit of a reset before the second-leg, because he will have a huge job on his hands at the Allianz Arena.
Fingers crossed Mikel Arteta can help Raya focus ahead of the next game.
