Arsenal legend Martin Keown has claimed that Declan Rice is one of the best players in Europe right now.

The Gunners are currently on top of the Premier League table. They are among the best teams in the country, and Rice has been one the biggest reasons why they are where they are.

Arsenal signed Declan Rice from West Ham United in the summer for a club-record fee.

The Englishman was among the best midfielders in the Premier League during his time at the London Stadium. Everyone knew he was going to be a hit at Arsenal, and he hasn’t disappointed.

Rice has definitely been the singing of the summer. He has been unbelievable for Arsenal over the last four months, and he is shining in Europe as well.

Ahead of the game against Liverpool today, Keown heaped praise on Rice, calling him one of the best players in Europe right now.

He wrote in The Daily Mail: “Arsenal have used the same three-man midfield in their last trio of top-flight games.

“While Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz push into advanced positions from the right and left respectively, Declan Rice is the middle man who stays at home. He acts as the primary protector for centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel.

“That triangle has been the foundation for Arsenal’s success with Rice proving he is one of the best in Europe.”

Declan Rice can end Arsenal’s Anfield curse

Arsenal have an abysmal record at Anfield.

The Gunners last won at Liverpool’s home ground all the way back in 2012. Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla scored their first goals for the club to help them beat the Reds that day.

Liverpool will go into the game as the favourites today, but we’re sure they will be worried about Declan Rice‘s presence in Arsenal’s midfield.
