Martin Keown picked out English talent Bukayo Saka as a superb individual from Arsenal’s impressive win on Thursday night.

The Gunners annihilated Czech opposition Slavia Prague 4-0 in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.

Mikel Arteta’s side have booked a semi-final against Villarreal after a convincing 5-1 aggregate scoreline over Slavia, as they thrashed them away from home to avoid an exit from the competition.

The north London club were 3-0 up within 24 minutes after a quick-fire start, plus they got a fourth in the second half to add extra gloss to the result.

Saka, 19, scored the third goal of the night in stunning fashion.

The versatile teenager played as a right-winger in the European fixture, and his goal came after dribbling inside at pace and firing in a low finish with his favoured left foot to the near post.

He’s now managed seven goals and seven assists across all competitions so far this season, with many viewing him as the frontrunner for the club’s player of the season.

Pundit and ex-Arsenal defender Keown was amazed by Saka’s performance against Slavia.

“His contribution tonight was different class,” Keown told BT Sport 1 (10:05pm, 15 April).

“They just can’t stop him [for his goal]. He’s just too good. That’s absolutely emphatic the way he puts that ball in the back of the net.

“He can play as a number 10, as a left back which I keep suggesting and on the right wing. He really is an outstanding talent.”

TBR’s View:

If you consider how much quality Saka has already aged 19, it’s frightening to think how good he could be in a few years time.

For someone so young, he’s already a senior figure in the Arsenal squad at the Emirates Stadium and is so often the go-to man to inspire them in big moments.

It was the entire team that did the business with a real group effort against Slavia, but Saka dazzled as he usually does.

Arsenal’s academy really has produced a gem who’s going to be such crucial for the rest of the season.
