Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Geronimo Rulli from Real Sociedad.
According to Spanish media outlet El Gol Digital, Real Sociedad are ready to offer goalkeeper Rulli to Newcastle in the January transfer window.
And a report from TEAMtalk indicates that Rulli would cost Newcastle €7.5m, which roughly equates to £6.6m.
But do Newcastle need a new goalkeeper?
Martin Dubravka is the top choice at Newcastle and he has been in inspired form this season.
The 29-year-old’s performances between the sticks have helped Newcastle climb away from the relegation zone in recent weeks.

The Slovakia international is one of the most under-rated goalkeepers in the Premier League and Newcastle do not need to replace him.
Newcastle do not even need Rulli as a back-up option to Dubravka.
With Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman, the Magpies have three adequate deputies waiting in the wings.
And considering that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is notorious for his lack of spending, this potential deal seems like one to avoid.
There are many positions that will be concerning Benitez ahead of the January window.
The Spaniard needs to bring in a goal scorer, a creative midfielder and possibly some new full-backs.
This is why spending £6.6m on Rulli makes little sense, unless Dubravka leaves in January.
