Jesse Marsch has shared in his first press conference as Leeds United boss what he told his players in training yesterday regarding the speed at which they have taken to his ideas.
Marsch is gearing up for his first game in charge of the Whites. He, of course, took over following a three-and-a-half year spell for Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa is synonymous with being like no-one else when it comes to coaching. And with that, some may have feared how the transition from the Argentinian to Marsch would play out as Leeds battle to beat relegation.
Leeds fans will get their first proper glimpse of Marsch and his side on Saturday at Leicester. But it would appear that there are encouraging signs already emerging on the training ground.

Marsch opened up on how things have gone behind the scenes since he started working with the players. And he suggested that he had been hugely impressed.
“I told them yesterday after training that some of the things that we did in training, I had worked with teams for six months and they didn’t perform the topics as well on the pitch as this group had done in two days so that’s a very positive sign,” he said in his press conference.

Marsch still faces a huge task at Elland Road. Leeds were sliding towards the bottom three in the Premier League. And it was generally felt that Bielsa led them to heights that some perhaps would not have achieved otherwise.
But there is no doubt that the American came across incredibly well in his opening press conference. He spoke with humility and passion. And if that translates to what fans see on the pitch, he has every chance of doing a very good job at Leeds.
At the moment, his doubters will suggest that he still needs to walk the walk with Leeds. Leicester picked up a good win in midweek and will fancy their chances of getting another victory this weekend.
It would undoubtedly be a huge statement if Leeds could get off to a good start under Marsch on Saturday.
