Marquinhos and Gabriel Jesus were amongst those to laud Gabriel Magalhaes on Instagram in reaction to his performance and goal as Arsenal beat Fulham 2-1 on Saturday.

Arsenal, of course, were looking to maintain a flawless start to the Premier League season. However, Gabriel gifted Aleksandar Mitrovic a brilliant chance in the second-half. And the Fulham striker made no mistake to give the visitors a surprise lead.

Obviously, Arsenal’s detractors are suggesting that they are yet to face any of the heavyweights. And it does appear that the fixture list has been kind to the side so far.

But Arsenal have dealt with those put in front of them. They are now building up momentum for when they potentially face tougher challenges.

In previous years, the likes of Crystal Palace, Leicester and Fulham have taken points off Arsenal.

It may still be too soon to say whether they will be key players in the title race. But they deserve enormous credit for dealing with every hurdle so far.
