Arsenal look set to bring in a new signing from Scandinavia this summer with Norwegian talent George Lewis on his way from Fram Larvik after a successful trial.

But another talent from the Nordic countries has made it clear he would love to find himself at Arsenal one day.

The player in question is Marokhy Ndione.

The 20-year-old has been speaking to Fotboll Direkt about his future at the club and admitted he wants to eventually head away from Sweden and current club IF Elfsborg.

He then spoke about his dream location and mentioned a potential move to Arsenal to play with ‘world-class’ players like Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

“My dream goal is Arsenal. This is the team I would like to play for one day.

“I have followed them since I was a kid and as a young player you want to clearly represent the team you cheered on.

“I like most players but I don’t have any idol right now.

“Players like (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are world-class players that I watch a lot. This is the level you want to reach.”

Of course, there is no current talk of Arsenal looking into a move for the player. But there is no doubt he is a talented player for the future.

The Swedish youth international has played just three games for Elfsborg’s first-team this season, scoring in a 1-0 win against Orebro in the Swedish Cup. He also played eight times last season, scoring once.

The striker, who can also play for Senegal, had an excellent record in Elfsborg’s under-19s, scoring 25 goals in 22 games. He also scored seven goals in 14 games for the under-21s.

So maybe he is a player Arsenal should be keeping their eyes on going forward.
