Mark Noble had plenty to say about fantastic Kurt Zouma

Mark Noble is already loving playing with Zouma.

Kurt Zouma was signed for the Hammers from Chelsea over the summer and has already made an impact.

West Ham parted with a fee of just under £30m (BBC) for the Frenchman and it’s been money well spent.

Despite losing 2-1, Zouma was fantastic for the Irons against Manchester United on the weekend.

He dealt with Cristiano Ronaldo better than most would be able to.

That game was also Zouma’s first for the club in the Premier League.

Mark Noble has since been vocal about that game and the situation at West Ham.

The Hammers’ skipper has been talking about life at the club at the moment and about his new teammate Zouma.

Talking to the club website, Noble said:

“He’s played at a top level, he’s a top, top player, he’s a French international, and a fantastic addition to the squad.”

“We have strength in depth now and Kurt coming in, playing the way he has done in the last two games, has been great for us.”

“For sure, the games we have, we’re going to need him this year, and we’re going to need all of our players.”

Especially the boys at the back because playing week-in, week-out, nearly 60 games I think we’ll have this season if we progress, it’s going to be tough.”

Noble is exactly right about Zouma.

He is a top, top player and one who the club did very well to sign.

An acquisition like Zouma can be the difference between a mid-table finish and a Europa League spot.

West Ham also have a much better chance of progressing deep into the Europa League now they have Zouma.

Next up in the league for West Ham is Leeds.

They’ll be looking for their first win of the season against West Ham.

However, with Zouma at the back, you’d expect the Irons to come through it with all three points.
