Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he expects Arsenal to beat Watford when they meet in the Premier League on Sunday, but admitted that it is incredibly difficult to predict how the Hornets will play.
The Gunners have been superb since returning from the first international break of the season. Mikel Arteta’s men have won five and drawn two of the last seven in the top-flight.

Their latest result saw them beat Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium. They now find themselves sixth in the table, just three points off third place Manchester City.
Watford meanwhile, are just three points above the bottom three. They have suffered two defeats already under Claudio Ranieri.

Of course, there was the 5-0 loss to Liverpool. And they were beaten 1-0 by fellow strugglers Southampton at the weekend.
But in between that, they thrashed Everton 5-2 at Goodison Park.
So while Lawrenson has backed Arsenal to take the three points – and lauded Aaron Ramsdale – he admitted that he is not entirely confident given their opponents.
“I was wrong about Arsenal last week too. Aaron Ramsdale made some brilliant saves to keep Leicester out, but the Gunners played well and deserved their win,” he told BBC Sport, as he predicted a 2-0 Arsenal win.
“It seems Mikel Arteta’s side have found the consistency they have needed for a long time, while Watford remain hugely up and down under Claudio Ranieri. Good luck to anyone predicting how they will do.”
Arsenal will surely take three points from Watford clash
Watford have been unpredictable under Ranieri. However, their only victory came against an Everton side who have really struggled of late.
Southampton should have won by a greater margin at the weekend.
And with that, Arsenal have to be such heavy favourites to secure the three points.
Obviously, they must be wary of the upset. But the Gunners are playing superbly right now.
And if they can get an early goal, it should quickly become a comfortable afternoon for Arteta’s men.
