Marcus Rashford transfer value has plummeted since Barcelona move, another Man Utd loanee worth less

Despite a prolific start to life with FC Barcelona, Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has seen his transfer value decline a great deal in the last several months.

Rashford wants to stay at Barcelona on a long-term basis following his temporary switch to Catalonia.

In 12 matches for the Spanish giants, the Englishman has already notched an impressive 11 goal contributions.

Despite a return to form for Rashford, however, his transfer value has actually declined.

The winger had a mixed loan spell with Aston Villa during the 2024/25 season, scoring four and assisting six in 17.

At the end of his stint at Villa Park, Transfermarkt gave the 27-year-old a value of €50m (around £43.5m).

A fair assessment, given it was reported over the summer that Man Utd wanted £40m for Rashford.

After such a prolific start with Barca, some may have expected his value to increase, or at the very least, hold.

However, the latest valuation from Transfermarkt says that Rashford is now worth €40m (around £34.87m).

But he is not the only Manchester United loanee to have lost value on the back of leaving Old Trafford during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Jadon Sancho transfer value after Manchester United exit

Just like Rashford the season prior, Jadon Sancho has secured a loan move to Aston Villa in order to try to revitalise his career.

Rio Ferdinand backed Sancho to be a success at Villa Park, but he’s hardly featured under Unai Emery.

The 25-year-old has notched just eight minutes of football in the Premier League this term, finally making a start on Thursday evening in the 2-1 loss to Go Ahead Eagles.

As expected, on the back of his lack of playing time and goal contributions, Sancho’s value, according to Transfermarkt, has also gone down.

He was worth €28m (around £24.4m) at the end of May 2025, but is now given a valuation of €25m (around £21.8m).
