West Ham midfielder Marcus Browne is nearing the London Stadium exit door to move to Championship side Middlesbrough.
According to the Teesside Gazette, Browne had a medical at Boro’s Rockliffe Park training ground yesterday and is edging closer to being their first signing of the summer.
Browne spent last season out on loan at Oxford United in League One and clearly impressed enough to convince Jonathan Woodgate to make him his replacement for the departed Marcus Braithwaite.
After Pedro Obiang left east London this week, Browne looks set to follow him out the exit door despite having a year left on his current deal.

That loan spell in the third tier was impressive but not enough to convince Manuel Pellegrini to give Browne a chance in the first team this season.
In truth, the Hammers are well-stocked out wide now and the youngster who has made it into the first team plans in that wide position is Grady Diangana.
That made it tough for Browne but he is a young man with fantastic talent and he should be a threat in the Championship next season.
If he performs as the likes of Harry Wilson and Mason Mount did last term, his value could skyrocket – which may make the Hammers regret letting him leave permanently at this stage.
