Everton manager Marco Silva has stated clearly that he wants a new right back this summer, as per the Liverpool Echo.
This summer has seen Jonjoe Kenny leave the club on loan for Schalke, which means that Seamus Coleman is a little light on cover and competition.
But Silva said: “In this moment, and since Jonjoe went on loan to Schalke, it has been a position we want to strengthen. You cannot go through a tough competition like the Premier League with just Seamus Coleman.
“We are really, really happy with Seamus, he finished last season on a very good level but, of course, we have to sign a right-back also.”

£70,000-a-week (Spotrac) Irishman Coleman had some shaky moments last season and although he rediscovered his form by the end, it would be an idea for Everton to get quality cover and competition in.
Mason Holgate played at right wing back for West Brom on loan during the second half of last season, but perhaps Silva’s comments suggest that he’ll be fielded at centre half – another position where Everton look short – this term.
