Everton are expected to field transfer offers for talented midfielder Joe Williams this summer. As reported by the Liverpool Echo, teams from the Championship and Germany’s Bundesliga are keen on the dynamic midfielder this summer.
The report says the unnamed sides have ‘tabled offers’ for the 22-year-old, who has just entered the final year of his Everton contract.
Williams spent last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers. Despite the Trotters relegation, Williams impressed and Everton fans have long called for him to get a chance in the first-team.
The same Echo report claims that chance might have come a year ago, were it not for a knee injury.

Everton boss Marco Silva is said to be a fan of the player. Indeed, in January, Everton rejected all transfer offers for the player amid interest from Bristol City. The Liverpool Echo claimed that Silva wanted Williams in the first-team for pre-season.
Everton now have a decision to make. Williams, at 22, needs to sink or swim in the first-team. But they could risk losing him for nothing in a year’s time if they do not cash in now.
Williams will struggle to usurp the likes of Idrissa Gana Gueye, Andre Gomes, Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies from their roles in the first-team.
So perhaps a sale is the best option.
However, Everton do not want to risk losing a potentially top talent and being stung down the line.
This is one tough decision Everton have to make this summer.
