Marco Silva believes in him so should Sandro Ramirez return in January

It seems Sandro Ramirez could be back at Everton in January. As reported by El Gol Digital, his current loan club Real Sociedad are considering letting him go this winter. The Spaniard has been struggling for form since joining the Basque club in the summer.

It seems he could now have his loan deal cancelled, with Villarreal said to be keen.

But should Everton consider giving him another chance?

Sandro played just once for Everton this season. It was, however, an impressive display. He bagged an assist in the 3-1 win over Rotherham in the EFL Cup.

After the game, Marco Silva made it clear he wanted to keep the forward at Everton for the season. So he clearly saw him in his plans going forward. The player, however, pushed through with his move to San Sebastian.

“Even if I knew someone called up in the next hour and it is something Sandro is trying to find, I would like if I would stay with him in the squad because he is a player I believe in.”

It has clearly not worked out and Sandro does not look likely to see out the season at the Anoeta.

Everton, however, could certainly find a use for him. With Cenk Tosun out of form and Oumar Niasse set to leave, Sandro could be in with a chance of first-team football.

Silva is a fan and Sandro’s two loan spells away, including his time at Sevilla last term, have both been unsuccessful. Maybe it is best he sticks around at Goodison Park in January and sees if he has a future with his parent club.
