Marcelo Brozovic’s agent Miroslav Bicanic has told Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti that the Inter Milan midfielder has a release clause in his contract, but it is only active for two weeks – amid links to Liverpool and Manchester United.
The report claims that both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing 27-year-old, as are a number of European heavyweights including the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
A 51-time Croatia international, Brozovic is considered one of the most attractive players in the upcoming window and according to agent Bicanic, he is the best Croatian player likely to move this summer.
As per Bicanic, Brozovic does have a release clause in his contract which is rumoured to be worth £53million. But the Croatian midfielder’s clause can only be activated between a two-week period, between July 1 and July 15.
“Brozovic is currently the most attractive Croatian player on the market. He is in his peak and he has all the qualities that he needs,” Bicanic said. “He has a release clause and a release clause triggered transfer can take place between July 1 and July 15.”

TBR’s view – Brozovic would be an ideal signing for Liverpool
Yes, Liverpool have an abundant of talent in the middle of the park in the form of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner, Gini Wijnaldum and more. But with Adam Lallana due to leave, Milner ageing and Wijnaldum entering his final 12 months, a midfielder needs to be signed.
Brozovic’s ability to play in the holding role, or more as a box-to-box midfielder – like Henderson – would be ideal in terms of the way Jurgen Klopp fields his engine room. At little over £50million, Brozovic would be a bargain.
