Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing Swansea City’s Daniel James this month in the remainder of the January transfer window.
According to the Sun, the Whites are making a £10million bid for the winger that involves a £6million offer with a further £4million in add-ons based on achievements.
It is understood that the Swans could drop their valuation to accept the offer in the next 24 hours for the 21-year-old attacker.
But James has made just 20 senior appearances in his career so far, scoring twice and assisting four in return.
He may be an upcoming talent that is strong with the ball at his feet and one for the future, but Leeds need someone who can impact the bid for promotion right now if they are going to splash out £10million on them.
Leeds should consider turning their attention to Tottenham’s Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, who is reportedly available to leave the Premier League club this month.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs are prepared to let the winger depart in January for around £10million.
Bielsa previously signed N’Kouodu at Marseille and handed him his debut at the French club before departing, which is why he should reunite with him at Elland Road.
The 23-year-old is a speed machine that has not quite enjoyed the best of times in the Premier League, but previously ripped it up in Ligue 1 and would surely stroll the Championship.
He’s shown signs of life in him in recent weeks with opportunities in the Spurs first team and that should tempt Leeds to move for him.
N’Koudou would definitely be able to impact the Leeds XI right now and inject some extra quality to the final third.
