Leeds United’s Brazilian winger Raphinha is proving time and again that he belongs at this level, and his manager Marcelo Bielsa clearly agrees with outside opinion on the former Lille man.
Raphinha has been in electric form for the Whites this term. He’s scored four goals already, and been given a chance – which he took – with the Brazilian national team.
His form has seen the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United cast admiring glances his way. However, Leeds would now demand a huge fee for Raphinha if they were to even entertain the notion of selling him.

And speaking ahead of this weekend’s clash with Leicester City, Leeds boss Bielsa gave a glowing reference on Raphinha.
When asked if he believed Raphinha was among the ‘best in the Premier League at unbalancing’ opponents, the Leeds boss tended to agree.
“Clearly, he has the individual capacity to unbalance. For us, he accomplishes that role in a very positive way,” Bielsa told Leeds Live.
Despite Raphinha’s form, Leeds have struggled. They are currently 17th in the Premier League table. However, a win this weekend could push the Whites as high as 12th.
TBR’s View: Raphinha will leave Leeds eventually
And that’s not been disrespectful towards Leeds, it’s just that Raphinha clearly has the talent to play at the very very top level. It’s a similar situation to that we saw with Riyad Mahrez at Leicester. And look how well he has done at City!
The key for Leeds and Bielsa is enjoying and getting the best out of Raphinha while he’s at Elland Road. He is some talent, and has got even better this season it seems.
Eventually, those big bids will come. But on the flip side, the Whites paid less than £20m for him, so any future sale will come at a massive profit for the club anyway.
