Marcelo Bielsa is ‘poised’ to agree a second season in charge of Leeds United, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
They report that sources say that meetings with Victor Orta this weekend have moved the Argentine closer to extending his stay at Elland Road.
They also claim that further talks are penned in for this week, and there is a ‘mounting confidence’ that Bielsa will be in charge of the Whites next season as they redouble their efforts to get back to the Premier League once more.
That all means that there is hope that his contract will all be finalised before he heads off on his summer break – which would be a massive boost for Leeds.

Bielsa taking his time over a contract is nothing new because his initial Leeds deal reportedly took weeks to finalise – this is a man who knows what he wants and isn’t shy about going to get it.
He also has his whims and idiosyncrasies – and he will only sign if he feels capable of doing the job again next season and going one better than this season’s third-placed finish.
Much like Rafa Benitez at Newcastle, Leeds’ manager is the most important signing of the summer; the man on whom the entire window rests.
