Marcelo Bielsa has praised Robin Koch for the form that he has showed since arriving at Leeds United in the summer, but hinted that he took his game to another level in Monday’s defeat to Wolves, in comments reported by Leeds Live.
Koch was arguably the summer signing who arrived under the most pressure. The German came in to fill the void left by Ben White following his inspired loan move to Elland Road last season.

As noted by Leeds Live, the 24-year-old cost £13 million. But he did not get off to the best start following his switch.
He gave away penalties in his opening two appearances for the club. But overall, he has made an incredibly promising start to life at Leeds.

His display against Wolves on Monday was lauded by a number of supporters on social media. And Bielsa clearly agreed with those who have been incredibly impressed with what they have seen from Koch so far.
“He has had performances of a good level in all of his games,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live. “In the first half against Wolves he had a performance above what he had been showing, which was already good.”
What has been so impressive about Koch’s form is that he has to deal with not being a part of a settled backline.
He played alongside Pascal Struijk on his debut, and against Wolves this week. Meanwhile, it was Liam Cooper next to him in the three league games in between.
Nevertheless, he has stepped up and impressed whatever situation he finds himself in.
And given Leeds were reportedly willing to pay £25 million to keep Ben White in the summer (via Sky Sports), you could certainly understand why some supporters are already starting to think that paying £13 million for Koch was a real steal.
