Marcelo Bielsa has shared his thoughts on Diego Llorente’s performance as Leeds United drew with Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday night – in comments reported by Leeds Live.
The Whites recovered from a poor first-half display to earn a point against the Reds. Bielsa’s men were much better after the break and had more than enough chances to perhaps take more than a point.

Their equaliser came late on. Llorente met Jack Harrison’s corner to head home his first goal for the club following his summer switch.
It came after an incredibly busy evening for the Spaniard. He made 91 accurate passes during the game – 22 more than any other player on the pitch (via Whoscored).
The 27-year-old also made four tackles and won five aerial duels. The stats highlight how influential he was over the course of the draw.

And it seems that Bielsa was pleased with the centre-back’s performance.
“Llorente played a very good game and the fact that he scored a goal adds shine to his performance,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live.
“The ball was very well struck by Harrison. When he arrived on the run it was with such power, the players who arrived like this have the advantage.”
There were a few nervy moments from Llorente. But he made amends on a number of occasions as Leeds stepped up their game considerably after the break.
Llorente has been outstanding since returning from injury in late February. So Leeds fans may well feel that he more than deserved to be the one to bring the Whites level on a night which saw many supporting the club for the very first time.
